Greetings from sunny Florida! We didn't waste any time and kicked off our 2023 touring season on January 5th at Gram Parsons Derry Down in Winter Haven, FL. Stepping onto that stage and starting the set with "Boulder to Birmingham" felt like the absolute best possible way to enter this new, exciting year.

Next week, I'll be embarking on my first solo tour in nearly five years. I'm honestly a little (extremely) nervous, but also really excited to get back into the practice of crafting longer shows. I'm kicking off the tour in Mobile, AL on January 18th.

The last single ("The Fair and Dark Haired Lad") from Boomerang Town is now out in the world! I can't believe release day is just a month away. I'm super grateful to Holler. for premiering "The Fair and Dark Haired Lad" music video today. Check it out! Huge thank you to our Patreon community for making this video possible.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who has pre-saved  (pre-saving makes a huge difference for a small-fry folk singer like me, pre-saves tell Spotify, Apple Music, etc. that people want to hear my music which gives it better chances for playlisting, it also notifies independent record stores to stock it) and pre-ordered the record. I can't wait for y'all to hear it.

Thank you for believing in me.

Love,
Jaimee

📺 "The Fair and Dark Haired Lad" Music Video Premiere

"The latest taste of the album comes with ‘The Fair and Dark Haired Lad’. A pulsing Appalachian folk ballad that grapples with the seductive nature of alcohol and the addictions that all too often go along with it. With its lilting violins and stylised take on Celtic-tinged Americana, it brings to mind the folksy rock of Desire era Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris’ Wrecking Ball, and ends up sounding like Polly Harvey fronting The Chicks." -- Jof Owen, Holler.

"The Fair and Dark Haired Lad," the third single from my upcoming sophomore album Boomerang Town premiered on Holler. this week and received some love from NoDepression, The Country Scene, Amazon Music, and Tidal

"A warm, stirring message of resilience and understanding to those navigating some of life's toughest moments. Driven by Harris' rich, heart-wrenching vocals, 'Love is Gonna Come Again' offers a reminder that even the darkest days will eventually come to pass."

— Lorie Liebig, The Boot

"The album is an impressive step forward, showcasing Harris’s knack for storytelling through an arc about breaking free from destructive patterns.”

— Christopher Treacy, Country Queer

"Over the past few years, Texas-bred singer-songwriter Jaimee Harris has been making waves with her emotive, stirringly honest songwriting that walks the often thin line between folk and country. Whatever you want to call it, it rides on the smooth instrument of Harris’s vocals and her courageous storytelling lyricism.”
